Starting this morning, the Visa Mobile Application became available on the Android Market. We’re pretty excited because it’s the first financial application for Android from a “heavy hitter” and it offers some great features of which at the moment, only select Chase Visa card holders can take advantage.
Alerts - track your card transactions WHEN they happen. Keep tabs on your own expenses and if someone ELSE is using your credit card, you’ll instantly know.
Offers - get coupons on your phone, display them at the retail counter and get discounts. You can also redeem some coupons online. ...
Visa Launches First Financial App for Android

Back in September, Visa announced that their Visa Mobile Application would become the first financial application for Google Android-powered handsets. The application, launched only days ago, lets users receive notifications on their mobile phone about their account activity, receive offers from merchants, and use GPS to map out where those mobile offers can be redeemed or to find ATMs that accept Visa.

New to the Android Market today is the Visa Mobile App. In order to use it, you’ll need to be a Chase Visa cardholder, so don’t get too excited if you aren’t. As far as I can tell so far the app looks really handy (I’m not a Chase Visa cardholder!). It gives you real-time alerts to track your transactions. Plus, you’ll get special offers for members-only deals. Kind of cool. I’ve included a handy overview video above for your curious viewing pleasure.

On Dec. 10, Visa released its first official Android Market app - Visa Mobile - giving (”select Chase Visa cardholder”) T-Mobile G1 owners “near real-time alerts, offers, and useful tools to help navigate life in today’s fast moving world.” More specifically, users will receive card transaction updates, be able to keep track of spending, get deals and savings (presumably to places you regularly shop at), and a “locator” service to help users redeem the special offers and find ATMs that accept, you guessed it, Visa cards.
