With the Sony Ericsson Rachel (otherwise known as the XPERIA X3 or, more recently, the X10) having already made numerous unofficial appearances across the Interwebs, it seems like Sony Ericsson’s down to show their cards a bit early – or at least the back and sides of them.

Sony Ericsson posted a teaser video with what’s going to be unveiled on this date, and the phone we can see in the video is the white version of X3 / Rachael (spotted several times until now around the Web).

Final specifications have not been released yet, but rumor has it the XPERIA X3 will sport a massive 4" WVGA touchscreen display, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, an 8-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS navigation and a 3.5mm jack. Next Tuesday Sony Ericsson is going to launch its first Android device, the Xperia X3 aka Rachael . Although most people are busy pre-ordering the Droid from Verizon, they should really stop and see what this Rachael phone is all about. The teaser above has been officially leaked and the handset looks pretty interesting. Sure 20 seconds of video featuring a turned-off device isnât enough for us, is it? But at least we know the Rachael looks better than expected. All we need now are some decent specs and a matching personality and we might just have a Droid competitor on our hands! The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is shaping up to be the killer Android device of 2009 (although the Motorola Droid would argue with that!). Knowing how hungry the world is for more details of the X10, Sony Ericsson has decided to tease us with a video showing off bits of it.
And I do mean bits – the video’s infuriating as it tantalises us with the odd glimpse of the X10 without showing use the whole.
Fortunately, we won’t have to wait to too long, as the release date of the X10 has just been announced.

Remember that first demo video of Sony Ericsson Rachael’s UI, leaked way back in July? Some sort of sequel to it has recently appeared on YouTube, showing even more of SE’s customized Android interface.
The demo here is concentrated on Rachael’s media player, which looks quite different from what we’re used to see on other Android phones.
If we’re to believe the title of the video, the Rachael’s 4 inch touchscreen display has a resolution of 480 x 854 – just like the display of Motorola Droid (which seems to be one of this year’s nicest Android handsets). ...

A video of the Sony Ericsson Rachael UI was uploaded to Youtube recently showing off the new mediascape menu system for organising music, video and images. It appears that Sony Ericsson are working on their own Android media interface as the current Android one is a tad boring in my opinion.
It is currently believed that Rachael is the new Sony Ericsson X10 that will probably be announced on the 3rd November in just a few days time. Hopefully when the phone gets officially announced we can get a full look at what SE have done with Android and how much of it has been customised.
