Another Verizon DROID commercial, Stealth, and it’s awesome
Boy Genius Report —
Forget the first commercial you saw, this one takes the cake. We’ve been told it should start airing on TV this week. Video is after the break.
AT&T sues Verizon, Verizon releases new Droid ad
Seth H. Weintraub's blog —
AT&T is suing Verizon for their recent "There's a map for that" ad campaign. They complain that the maps that Verizon publishes could confuse people (even though they are clearly stating "3G Access") into thinking the white spaces on the map represent areas where AT&T doesn't have coverage. Here's the ad in question: I'm no lawyer, but I think the complaint is pretty weak. This is just good advertising. Point out a weakness that potential customers care about and exploit it. AT&T should focus on fixing their own network, not suing people for pointing out how bad it is. In other Verizon advertising news, they've got a new Droid ad out that is pretty ...

Crave: The gadget blog —
The always-impressive Boy Genius Report has gotten its hands on a copy of Verizon and Google's newest commercial for the Droid. The commercial's called Stealth, and it's rather amazing, even though it doesn't tell us much about the Motorola handset that's set to drop Friday.

The Independence Day delivery of the DROID
The Inquisitr » Technology —
Market share in the mobile phone market is fought by percentage points and exceptional products. Up until this point there is no denying the fact that Apple’s iPhone has been gaining ground percentage point by percentage point. Combined with an exceptional product that has left the other mobile phone providers eating their dust Apple has been a disruptive force in the market place.
Android based phones held out early promise that they would be able to take on the the Big A and take back some of that market. The only problem was that the product didn’t live up to the hype and no matter what advertising they tried Apple kept ...
Verizon releases Stealth commercial for Droid launch
Electronista | The Macintosh News Network —
Verizon has released a new television teaser, Stealth, for the upcoming Droid smartphone. Maintaining the sci-fi theme of other Droid marketing, the commercial begins with stealth aircraft dropping small spheres out of their weapon bays. The spheres are then shown slamming into the ocean and rural areas, spooking horses and confusing the locals. The objects begin to open as people walk closer, exposing the Droid handset inside. Unlike several previous Droid commercials, the new ads lack any reference to the iPhone or AT Verizon's "there's a map for that" ads, critical of its competitor's 3G coverage, lead to a lawsuit by AT Other "iDon't" ads ...
New Motorola Droid commercial drops
MobileCrunch —
If this latest commercial is any indication, the Motorola Droid is going to be air dropped from stealth fighter planes into random locations where people have no idea what it is.
Honestly, it’s a pretty cool commercial. Complete CGI job, but very cool none the less. I’m hoping that they don’t run it into the ground, but considering that the phone comes out on the 6th, we’ll probably be okay.
I’m waiting for the inevitable, when the phone starts singing Daisyl from “2001″.

Motorola Droid’s New “Stealth” Commercial [Video]
Mashable! —
Ever since Motorola revealed its new Droid phone through its Droid Does campaign, the buzz surrounding the Google Android-based smartphone has been accelerating. Whether it’s the promise of a worthy competitor to the iPhone or just the nifty commercials, something has been feeding the Droid hype machine.
Now the Droid campaign is about to add another head-scratching, eye-popping commercial to its line-up. The minute-long spot, obtained by Boy Genius Report, continues to play off themes from the Droid Does commercial, but takes its message to apocalyptic levels (no, really).
While we could try to explain the ...

Google Android Blog —
Video: Second Verizon Droid commercial surfaces online The second Droid commercial coming from Verizon Wireless has made its online appearance. The commercial is titled “Stealth” and is not yet airing on television, but is expected to begin sometime this week. If you have not yet seen it, watch for yourself below. All I can say is interesting, but I gotta say I love the quote at the end — “what in the world is that.” Lets just hope that is not the reaction Verizon hears from customers after the phone makes its way into retail stores on November 6th. Now, with a little risk of offering a slight spoiler, I will say that while I thought the commercial was ...
Verizon DROID “Stealth” commercial leaks [Video]
SlashGear —
Bombing customers with the latest smartphone, frightening horses and destroying many seasons’ worth of precious forest loam – it’s all here in Verizon’s latest teaser commercial for the Verizon DROID by Motorola. Unlike their first attempt at publicity, which basically took pot-shots at the iPhone, this new “Stealth” ad instead hopes to drum up some interest with a sci-fi theme.

AT&T sues Verizon, calls map ad a bum steer
GMSV —
Those snarky new “There’s a map for that” commercials from Verizon Wireless that take a jab at AT&T (and Apple) over network coverage (see “ So I’m guessing those Verizon-Apple talks weren’t going too well “) seem to have burrowed under the skin of the target, causing enough irritation to warrant professional attention. On Tuesday, AT&T sued Verizon for false advertising , not because there was anything actually false in the ads, but because viewers might not understand the graphics. The commercials show two maps clearly labeled as the 3G coverage areas of the respective carriers, with Verizon red almost filling in the nation’s outline and AT&T blue ...

New Verizon Scifi-ish Ad Promotes Motorola%u2019s DROID.The Droid drops tomorrow at Verizon stores everywhere, and at your

Does The Droid Mean Business?
Gear Diary —
To say the Droid’s release is highly anticipated would be an understatement. Marketing has gone into overdrive for this handset, making us wonder why there’s no big love for the Eris (yes, they’ll appeal to different users but the Eris looks just as capable running the same OS, just without a slide-out physical QWERTY keyboard). Verizon customers looking to finally wield a smartphone that won’t shame them when they’re out and about with their iPhone-toting friends have tomorrow marked and ready. Heck, even the impatient could have pre-ordered it already from Best Buy (and, if you really, ...
