GEARFUSE — Here’s a video of a gentleman from Japan using his Nintendo DSi , the microphone, Korg DS-10 software and a bendy straw. He then proclaims it’s a “Talkbox! Talking modulator!” I couldn’t agree more. If you’re looking to live out your Peter Frampton fantasy, this is as cheap as it gets. Just don’t embarrass yourself with a similar Youtube video. Nintendo DS plus Korg hack gives anyone robotic vocals
DVICE Atom Feed — Back in the summer we told you about the new Korg DS-10 synthesizer software for the Nintendo DS. Now an outgoing Japanese geek named Jetdaisuke has uploaded video of an innovation originally cooked up by Korg engineer Kanamori-san that allows you to turn the combination into a working talkbox. No fancy Make Magazine soldering or programming needed, just grab a straw and a piece of tape and you'll be sounding like an old school Cylon in no time.
