With the new release of the Google Mobile App for iPhone, I can just hold the phone to my ear, wait for the tone and say stuff like "Indian restaurants." And just like that, I'm looking at a bunch of places that will easily satisfy my craving. I say "lyrics to Purple Haze" and Google quickly proves I was right. ...

Google Bringing Voice Searches to the iPhone?
by Ron Miller — The Unofficial Apple Weblog reports that Google is bringing a voice-activated search tool to the iPhone App store, but CNET reports that there appears to be a delay in the release of this intriguing tool, which would allow you to say your search criteria and get results. Sounds pretty neat, no doubt, but I am  skeptical about the accuracy of the recognition engine, if and when we ever see this application live. For now, check out this YouTube video from Google, which illustrates the voice tool's promise. TechCrunch is now reporting that the Google Voice Search application will be ...

Well, the issue is for another blog post ...
