On Monday we published a list of gadgets eerily similar to those that appeared in Minority Report. Now, Oblong Industries has produced a video (above) demonstrating a spatial operating system called G-speak, which mimics the film's famous gesture-based interface far more closely than Mgestyk Technologies' similar product.

We compare a lot of things to Minority Report around here — since it's so damn cool and all — but most of the technology we come across simply approximates the almost ridiculous amount of gesture controls presented by the movie. Tom Cruise was spinning his hands, position his fingers every-which-way, and using iPhone-like pinch commands to manipulate all of the ghostly windows hovering before him. If you remember the Tom Cruise film, Minority Report, you will remember the famous scenes where Tom was at a computer display moving various videos around by waving his hands in front of it. A company named Oblong took this idea and ran with it by creating a spatial operating system which looks fantastic.
