Liliputing — Asus has lifted the thin veil that was still remaining over the company’s long-anticipated Eee Top all-in-one desktop computer that looks like an iMac on the outside and an Eee PC on the inside. The 15.6″ Eee Top ET1602 runs Windows XP, has a touchscreen, and comes with an “easy mode” interface similar to the easy mode that Asus slaps on Eee PC netbooks running Xandros Linux. Engadget reports that the ET1602 has been priced at 18,900 Taiwanese dollars, or about $580, although it’s not clear if it will carry the same price tag outside of Taiwan. Asus launches ET1602 Eee Top
Tech Ticker —   Just after MSI introduced their Wind Nettops, Asus has also jumped in the fray with their Eee Top all-in-one computer. Contrary to a report by PC World, Asus revealed only one Eee Top, the ET1602. The configuration includes a 15.6-inch touchscreen display, Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, 1.3 megapixel webcam, mic, LAN and a card reader.
