The new MacBooks don't seem to be able to recognize an iPhone when it is booted into DFU mode, an important step for creating custom iPhone firmware using the Pwnage Tool. However, the users are reporting that they are able to restore their iPhone using iTunes with the custom firmware that has been created on another other Mac or Windows machine to jailbreak the iPhone without any problem.
