Yahoo’s Yang Has No Regrets — He Should [GigaOM]
In hindsight, we are all geniuses or simpletons — it’s just a matter of how much time we give history to ferment. At this point, it doesn’t look like history will be kind to Jerry Yang, who has had the unenviable job of rescuing the company he co-founded. A man of lesser ...

Also, when he gives a statement like "People who know me know that i don't have any ego about these things."

That's not a selling point to his character at all in the view of PR. Poor guy's a soft-spoken executive, or a target in for the media circus.

No Yahoogle, Welcome Microhoo
Profy — This morning Google has announced on the official blog that it will not proceed with the advertising deal with Yahoo. This deal was supposed to help Yahoo withstand the acquisition by Microsoft by offering it a stable revenue stream to survive and support itself. The revenue was supposed to be generated by Yahoo showing Google ads on its sites. But of course from the very beginning it was quite evident that the deal would raise questions from antitrust authorities and that was exactly what happened. The potential consequences of this deal have been investigated heavily both in the US and in European Union to see if any competition will be left ...

Crazy Jerry’s Portal Emporium — no reasonable offer refused
GMSV — Should Jerry Yang ever leave the employ of Yahoo (and there is a growing chorus of observers who think that would be a excellent idea ), he might make a good addition to some politician’s campaign staff. The guy is obviously able to commit to a vision (even if it doesn’t quite line up with reality) and stay on message (even when it’s not entirely credible). Six months after turning down a Microsoft takeover offer around $33 a share, only to watch Yahoo stock sink into the low teens, Yang on Wednesday urged Microsoft to resume its courtship and bring its wallet. Speaking at the Web 2.0 Summit, Yang said , “To this day, I have to say that the ...
