Windows market share drops to 15-year low
TG Daily - All News —

Windows market share drops to 15-year low

Note that these statistics are most likely for consumer end users. Net Applications is only looking at website visitors. Most professional end users have restrictions on internet connections as to what sites are blocked which would make determining professional users' operating systems difficult if not impossible. Servers are probably not going to be browsing sites so that's also not taken into account in this poll. The figures for Windows are probably much lower given the entire picture of HPC, hosting and ISP, professional and academic users, plus anything else besides consumer end users. Either way the point is clear that Windows is loosing ground to the competition.
