You have to remember that the test that was performed on Windows 7 (build 6.1.7000.0.081212-1400), which as we know is a beta build. So just remember that beta builds are designed more for stability rather than performance.

... fast. Okay, there is a lot of Vista hate out there, and I'll stand up and say, it's completely unfounded. Vista is a solid, dependable OS, providing you run it on hardware that is not really old. However, for all those die hard haters out there, check out Windows 7; it's just hit Beta 1 stage and it is apparently blisteringly quick.
