Mysterious T-swivel handset appears on Korean site, keeps us guessing
Engadget —
... is this thing? The mysterious T-swivel type handset has appeared on a Korean site, presumably signifying its status as a simple concept. Obviously, the device packs a full QWERTY keyboard, a front-mounted camera, a rather sizable display and a swivel contraption to keep things horizontal when texting and the like. Beyond that, your guess is as good as ours here. Any clues on this thing's origins? We only ask because, you know, we'd love to actually toy around with one. Swivel design mystery phone makes Korean appearance
Phones Review —
... clear that whatever it is it sports a full QWERTY keyboard along with a front mounted camera, with what looks to be a reasonable sized display and is obviously a swivel device and the image properties say it was taken on the 3rd of June.
Other than what can be gleaned from the image very little else is know, no name, carrier, specs or even if it will ever see the light of day.
So, anyone ever seen it before and care to shed some light?

Mystery hybrid phone pops up all over the Internets
Boy Genius Report —
We’re not quite sure what to make of this beast, but it’s all over the blogosphere and our guess is as good as any for now. It looks like a weird hybrid of a Helio Ocean, Palm Centro/Treo, Sony Mylo and touch of Open Moko. Judging by the unusual number of smudges on the screen, common sense points to a touchscreen / QWERTY combo. The keys look like the firm, bubbly keys we’d see on the Palm ...
Ambiguous T-swivel device surfaces, has identity crisis
MobileCrunch —
... complete with left and right mouse buttons, this behemoth confusingly blurs the lines between UMPCs, MIDs, and smartphones.
The fact that this image is apparently over 6 months old, suggests that this Chris Farley-esque gadget might never see the light of day. And really, is there even room in the ever-crowded portable/mobile device market for such a beast? With the explosion of netbooks, web-capable PMPs, and much sleeker alternatives…I’d say that’s a big NO.

Palm Prototype Roteo?
IntoMobile - Cell Phone News, Information, and Analysis —
... Folks are presuming it will run Windows Mobile, but it’s pretty hard to tell at this point. Before we start bashing the Roteo liberally, the Sidekick has gone to show that people dig the spinning thing, and with a bit of work this one might appeal to smartphone users outside the chatty teenage girl demographic. It’s a nice change of pace from the usual slider layout, but even regardless of design, it’ll be a hard sell with such stiff competition.
