The DIY Plant Twitter Kit
Coolest Gadgets — ... plant it will send you reports as to when your plant needs watered or even if you’ve managed to give it too much water.  Just subscribe to the plant’s twitter feed and you’ll have all the info you need.  To put the kit together you’ll need a soldering iron, solder, needle nose pliers, small snips, masking tape and a flat-head screwdriver.  The kit it will cost you $99.99, so hopefully you only have one plant you want to watch carefully.
