Spy shots of the Nokia E63 emerge

As part of the whole discussion on the leaked Nokia promotional video about a month ago, the existence of the mysterious Eseries phone, the E63, has come to light. Much of the phone still remains a mystery but we do have some new spy shots to confirm its existence and few leaked details on the handset itself courtesy of the Telefon-Tredd.de forums. This is all rumor so take it with a healthy grain of salt. The Nokia E63 is purported to come in three variants: the E63-1: for Europe, the E63-2: without a camera and more memory (?), and E63-3: for the Americas. According to a user agent profile on Nokia servers and from the spy shooter himself, the E63 will have the following specs:

Details and photos of the upcoming Nokia E63 have leaked, suggesting that the handset is a more basic, entry-level version of the E71 smartphone. According to the new information, which is yet to be confirmed, the E63 will come in three versions, all GSM with UMTS HSPDA, a 240 x 320 display, full QWERTY keyboard, WiFi and Bluetooth. Running Symbian v9.1 S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1, the E63 is thicker than the E71 and has an all-plastic body with only minimal metal highlights. Two of the three versions will have a 2-megapixel camera, although none have a front-facing camera.

Nokia E63, previously rumored to be called Nokia E72, has recently appeared in a set of live shots, the first ones with the smartphone. These not only that confirm the existence of the device, but they also show the world that E63 has a lot in common with Nokia E71, launched by the Finns a few months ago.
By the way it looks, Nokia E63 seems to be a poorer version of E71. That’s because it’s almost completely made out of plastic (gone is that metallic case of E71) and its features are a bit incomplete.
