T-Mobile Drops The Mother of All Bombshells - More G Series in ‘09!

In a Fierce Wireless interview dated earlier today, T-Mobile let slip a real doozy. Apparently the 4th largest carrier in the US is not going to rest on the laurels of the G1. That’s right, there are going to be more phones in the G series.
Our primary focus is consumer-based devices. As the year progresses there will be a significant ...

T-Mobile Confirms More G-Series Phones in ‘09
IntoMobile - Cell Phone News, Information, and Analysis —
Gee, you don’t say? Neville Ray, T-Mobile (NYSE: DT)’s senior VP of Engineering and Operations promises that we’ll be seeing more Android handsets this year, alongside a “significant number of HSPA-capable smart phones” and “a data card product” within “the coming weeks and months.” It would have been a little anticlimactic if T-Mobile stopped at the G1, huh? We’re still eyeballing Mobile World Congress to show off a bunch of new Android handsets, and it’s wholly possible the G2 (a.k.a HTC Sapphire) will be among them.
