Update: We've also just learned that HTC is going to officially launch the HD2 on November 4 ahead of a November 11 release elsewhere. We're not entirely sure what there is left to learn about the thing, but we're always game for another press event.

... release date does look about right and looking at other pages on the T-mob site they do refer to a Windows Phone based device running WM 6.5, so it seems the release date is correct and that someone just mixed up a few of the details.
Anyway, expect it November 9 on T-Mobile. We also hear that HTC are launching it this week on the 4th I guess SIM free for a hefty price. No doubt T-Mobs site will get cleaned up when they get in the office sometime soon.

Well it speaks for itself, if you live in the UK you can pick up this coveted device in a week. I do however think the ability to download from the Android market is a misprint. Any of you plan on upgrading?

Meanwhile, Pocketnow are reporting that the HD2 will be officially launched – yes, we thought they’d done that already too – on November 4th, with an official release on November 11th. We’re checking with HTC to see if that’s accurate or not.
