It's somewhat comforting to see that amid economic chaos, tech companies aren't throwing in the towel. Twitter, for one, has apparently spurned a $500 million offer from Facebook, while Twitter users and watchers are so optimistic that the company will be around for the long haul, they're discussing Twitter's eventual grander purpose.
