Acousticom, the same company who make headsets for military pilots and flight deck crew, has taken your favorite seating implement and turned into a personal theater / gaming station. These babies contain a 5.1 surround sound system with full 20 Hz – 20kHz response, and a 10″ woofer under your seat. It’s actually kind of cool, and we’re sure that when you aren’t illuminating the interior with a camera’s flash bulb it looks as good as Henrik Thor-Larsen’s original. You can even choose the color of the foam inside, as well as the plastic outside. Weirdly, all the foam color options will cost an extra $25, except burgundy, which the makers seem to agree was possibly the worst color ever invented.

The Sound Egg Chair is essentially a 60's-era egg chair with sound dampening material glued on the inside and speakers wired to the roof of it. It's hideously ugly, but I've got to admit I'm curious about what the sound is like while sitting in there. Am I $1,500 worth of curious? No, no I'm not. I guess it's back to normal chairs and speakers for me.
