Mobil's dug up these photos of the XPERIA Rachael, supposedly their first Android phone. Exciting, since I love Sony Ericsson hardware. These things are kind of all starting to look the same, but it's running the Snapdragon platform, meaning it could be 1GHz, and is rumored to have an 8MP imaging sensor. That supposedly upcoming Android XPERIA that Mobil dug up might have our minds, but it's this leaked handset (which, to be fair, looks fairly sketchily rendered), the Sony Ericsson Kiki, that has won our hearts. The screen is made of glass, with an image seemingly rear-projected onto it (teleprompter style), while the keys are, um, scarce. Mobil was able to offer few hints as to how this works or what all it does, and it seems like it falls far short of the functionality of a feature phone, but we're sure we want one whatever it is. ...

The phone’s codename is Rachael but that is only a codename. It is clearly branded Xperia and you would expect them to go the same route Samsung has gone with the Omnia… Xperia 2, Xperia Lite, Xperia Pro, Xperia Android, etc… so I think we’ll see this phone be called Xperia with a trailing adjective. Any guesses as to what that might be?

... Sony Ericsson isn't known for coming out with Google Android-powered smartphones, but the "Rachel" definitely changes that. Featuring a "1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, HSPA and an 8 megapixel camera." Continue reading for one more picture.
It's unclear how big the touchscreen is, and other details are scarce -- there is a 3.5mm headphone jack, so that's nice, but unless we're severely misguided, there doesn't seem to be a slide-out keyboard.

... jack, which is nice because this means you can use your own headphones, rather than the ones you get with the phone.
As you can tell by the picture there is no signs of a slide out keyboard hidden in the shell of the phone anywhere. So this could mean that it is going to be fully touch screen, and it will also make the phone look better, as it will be slimmer and won’t weigh as much because it won’t have the heavy keyboard.
