Seagate Technology reported today that it had a net loss of $496 million, or $1.02 a share, for the second fiscal quarter ended Jan. 2.
Revenue fro the quarter was $2.3 billion, which matched the low end of revised expectations for the quarter from Seagate itself. But analysts had expected a loss of just 5 cents a share and revenues of $2.46 billion. A year ago, Seagate’s revenues were $3.42 billion.
