... , Sony continues to roll out incremental upgrades to its PS3 firmware, with the 2.53 release expected for tomorrow. A future-dated post regarding the upgrade was put up on Sony's PlayStation website, perhaps accidentally, as it now appears to have been taken down. The primary purpose of the update seems to be adding full-screen support for Adobe Flash files, useful for watching screen-filling video content. It is thought that the new software update will feature a number of security patches, as well as a number of new and revised settings. Although this latest update does not offer as much as we hoped, all these little things are adding up, one day we might just get the Sony PS3 firmware update that we have all been waiting for.
