For some reason, incremental revisions of easily overlooked kitchen tech always gets me gobsmacked with admiration. The latest evolution: the common ice cube tray, now fitted with bright green tabs allowing for the easy expulsion of individual crystalline cubes ... without taking out the contents of the entire tray in a frigid freezer conglomeration of geometric shapes which must be broken apart by a hammer before their dispersal into whiskey sours.

Quiksnap ice tray pops out one cube at a time

Here's a great idea: a way to dispense one ice cube at a time. Quicksnap, invented by Graeme Davies, is a finalist in the Royal College of the Arts design contest, and will be available later this year.
Just push the green button and out pops a single cube. Might we suggest a non-stick coating to make the process even easier? Or maybe we could all stop watering down our drinks and quaff beverages Euro-style, sans ice altogether.
