SlashGear —
... “several credible sources” had told them the PSP 2 would have a widescreen multitouch-capable display, and then theorised - on the back of a Sony questionnaire - that it could also include Bluetooth support, an integrated hard drive and GPS, a source close to Sony has told gaming site MCV that “this is nonsense“. ...
Sony dismisses IGN's PSP2 rumors, disses IGN
Joystiq —
... Wow, not only did Sony take the time to deny an IGN rumor about the PSP2, but the company took the opportunity to flat out insult the site. IGN recently cited "several credible sources" in a report on Sony's next handheld, allegedly featuring a touch screen, ...

... rumour or speculation, but this is nonsense.” The only thing better than an anonymous source, is an anonymous source lacking the backbone to put their face with the backhands they want to deliver to a publication. The best part is that despite the acrimony, MCV never gets around to having their source really deny the PSP2 rumor. Personally, I hope that Sony doesn't plan to chase multitouch tech, and instead look into dual thumbsticks for any possible new iteration of their portable. PSP 2 rumours are “nonsense" [MCV]
Those PSP 2 rumors are rubbish

“Hopefully, you can sense a mild tone of sarcasm, which should hopefully indicate how ‘on the money’ IGN are. Needless to say, we don’t comment on rumour or speculation, but this is nonsense.”
This comment really shows the nastiness but if IGN’s source turns out to be true, Sony might have to bite its own words.

Touchscreen PSP 2 rumors get stoked, then slammed
Yahoo! Tech Advisors —
... although it noted that the leak was "in line" with other recent rumors, as well as a recent Sony survey that polled gamers on which features—including a touchscreen interface—would make them more likely to buy a new PSP. Fair enough; rumors of a touchscreen PSP have indeed been floating around for some time now, so the IGN report doesn't come as a huge surprise. What caught my attention, though, was the venom in Sony's response—or rather, an anonymous source "close to Sony," as reported by gaming site MCV : Clearly, being a quiet time of year, many, what we though to be ...
