Verizon BlackBerry Storm Sees Delays
IntoMobile - Cell Phone News, Information, and Analysis —
Tepid reviews and limited stock have done little to fizzle BlackBerry Storm hype in the U.S., as lines still stretched out the door of many Verizon stores on launch day. Unfortunately, those at the back of the line who had to resort to back-ordering a device will now have to wait until as late as December 15th. before it’s even shipped. There are some theories floating around that the shortage is due to an insecure OS (4.7.0.82) coming with the initial shipment, then getting pulled so devices could be downgraded to 4.7.0.65. Maybe it will take Verizon up to mid-December to get all the devices running .65. One way or the other, it looks like Canadian carriers ...
BlackBerry Storm Sees Long Lines, Delays

... was also hammered by customers trying to order the smartphone, and the order page now reads, "Limited Availability... Orders placed now will be shipped by 12/15." This delay has the potential to negatively impact RIM's results for the third quarter, which ends Nov. 29. Analysts said the shortage of inventory may be especially harmful if there aren't enough Storm units in stores during Thanksgiving week and particularly on ...
Verizon Storm shipment date pushed up to December 8th
Boy Genius Report —
Whatever the case with the BlackBerry Storm OS / Sticker debacle from Verizon, it looks like everything is going to be ironed out a bit ahead of schedule. Verizon’s website now shows an online order shipment date by December 8th, bumped up slightly from the previous date of December 15th. The listing on the site still shows the Storm as having limited availability, though it’s hard to say if we’re talking real limited availability or marketing limited availability. Limited availability of your most highly-anticipated handset release of the year, right before the holidays? Either way, if you’re in the market for a Storm but the idea ...

BlackBerry Storm now just $99 on Verizon Wireless
Yahoo! Tech Advisors —
... recently picked up on Verizon Wireless' hefty price cut for the Storm, which is now selling for half the two-year contract price of the new (non-touchscreen) BlackBerry Tour or $50 more than the Curve. The unsubsidized price of the Storm is still a hefty $499. The discount also brings the Storm down to the two-year contract price of the 8GB iPhone 3G, which goes for $99 on AT Now, the Storm and its odd, clickable touchscreen wasn't the most beloved of BlackBerrysâI had somewhat ...
Verizon Practically Giving Away the BlackBerry Storm
Berry Reporter —
It's not a huge surprise that Verizon Wireless has decided to drop the price of the BlackBerry Storm, after all the Storm 2 is only a month away. What is a surprise is the price ($49.99) and the free BlackBerry that comes along with it. That's a pretty good deal if you ask me but what's the catch here, is the Storm inventory really that high? It would certainly seem that way and it definitely makes a hard decision for someone looking to by a BlackBerry. They could hold out for the Storm 2 which is due sometime in October or go with the deal and have the Storm plus another high quality BlackBerry.

Verizon cuts BlackBerry Storm pricing to $50
Boy Genius Report —
It seems like only yesterday that Verizon gave the general public a first taste of the BlackBerry Storm, RIM’s first and currently only touchscreen phone. If you’re a late adopter, we have awesome news for you: Verizon has reduced the price of a brand spankin’ new Storm to just $49.99 on a 2-year contract. Oh, and the latest buy-one-get-one-free deal we scooped is still going on, too. So what’s with all the BlackBerry deals intended to clear store shelves? At this point it seems pretty obvious but if you’re a bit slow on the uptake, allow us to spell it out for you. Yeah, you read our minds.

Is a New Storm is Brewing at Verizon? Storm for $50!
Mobility Site —
I would have to say yes… Verizon is unloading the Blackberry Storm for $50 right now. Are they making room for the new? Chances are… Yes.
There has been quite a few leaks on the Storm 2 lately, that should be a good indicator that something is coming soon right? In fact, there have been some really official looking leaks too. There was a screenshot posted at Crackberry (it’s been taken down now) that show a release date of the Storm 2 for Verizon business users 9/29/09 and the rest of the users on 10/14/09. The document has been taken offline, but those dates line up pretty good with Verizon blowing out Storms for $50 now.

Verizon’s BlackBerry Storm now only $50. Storm 2 launch imminent?
Unwired View —
RIM’s BlackBerry Storm is now cheaper than ever at Verizon, as the giant US carrier has dropped its price to only $49.99 – on contract, of course.
Launched in the fall of 2008 (when it was priced at $200), BlackBerry Storm is the only RIM smartphone to feature a touchscreen display. The price cut is probably a sign that the new Storm 2 is on its way.
Rumored to be launched in October this year, BlackBerry Storm 2 9550 should come with a slightly changed design, as well as new features – including Wi-Fi and a more user-friendly touchscreen display.
The BlackBerry Storm 2 might be offered by Verizon for $200 on contract, but we’ll have to wait for an ...
