Dell Mini 3iX passes the FCC, AT&T 3G included
Unwired View — Michael Dell has recently confirmed that his company would launch an Android smartphone in the US via AT&T in early 2010 – and it looks like that smartphone is exactly the Dell Mini 3iX that we saw a few days ago in Brazil. The FCC has just approved the Mini 3iX (850/1900 GSM and UMTS bands included), so now all AT&T and Dell have to do is announce the smartphone. As mentioned earlier this week, the Dell Mini 3iX features Wi-Fi – unlike the China-bound Mini 3i. The handset could also come with a 3.5 inch touchscreen display with 640 x 360 pixels, A-GPS, Microsoft Exchange support and a 3MP autofocus camera. No word yet on what Android version Dell Mini ...

Dell Mini 3iX clears FCC with AT&T 3G and WiFi
SlashGear — Dell’s upcoming Android smartphone has been caught clearing the FCC, complete with support for AT&T’s 3G bands.  The Dell Mini 3iX was spotted in Brazil earlier this week, when it was said to support triband UMTS; the FCC listing for the handset mentions 850 and 1900 band support, which are the 3G bands AT&T uses for its high-speed network, together with WiFi (missing from the Chinese-version Mini 3i). The rest of the phone’s specifications are unclear, thanks to Dell’s confidentiality requests, but going by the Chinese device and recent leaks we’re expecting the Mini 3iX to have a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen (which in China runs at 360 x 640 resolution; ...

3G and Wi-Fi toting Dell Mini 3iX party it up with the FCC
Boy Genius Report — It looks as if Dell’s Android handset is getting ready for prime time with AT&T as a new filing found on the FCC’s website has revealed the Mini 3iX. With both 850/1900 MHz bands of UMTS as well as Wi-Fi on board, the 3iX is likely to be identical to the Mini 3i which was unveiled in mid-August by China Mobile, the only difference being the aforementioned. If this is indeed the case then we’re looking at a 3.5″ 360×640 touchscreen display, 3 megapixel camera, A-GPS and support for Microsoft Exchange. The question is, will anybody even care? Dell Mini 3iX Phone Clears FCC with AT&T 3G Frequencies
jkOnTheRun — Image Credit: mobile.163.com If you had any doubts about Dell’s Mini 3iX coming to AT&T in 2010, the FCC is here to dispel them. Unwired View says the FCC has tested the device with the typical confidentiality clauses in place, so there are no new device pics to peep unless you like looking at profiles and labels. The confidentiality on photos and the user manual expires on April 21, 2010, however that ...
