... standards is the Nokia N97. It was unveiled today at Nokia World 2008 in Barcelona, as the conference’s centerpiece.
The top line is that it has 32 Gigs of memory, DVD quality video capture, a 3.5 inch touch screen, and it’s the first N-series phone to have a QWERTY keyboard. Upon first glance it resembles the Google-Android based G1 in some ways, with some more advanced features and elegant design.
A closer look is forthcoming and CrunchGear has more specs and pics. Nokia also provides a video here.

MobileCrunch —
... We’re a bit surprised this thing is actually making it to market, being that the timing and its chubby-bunny form factor are likely to leave it shrouded in the shadow of the N97. Nokia thinking about dabbling in the laptop biz
MobileCrunch —
... Then we thought a bit about their upcoming products, one of the most notable of which is the N97 - which is about as close to a laptop as a mobile phone gets. Make it a bit bigger, flesh out the OS a bit, and you’ve got a laptop. Well, you’ve got a netbook - and that’s exactly where we think Nokia might be going with this. This is purely conjecture, but we wouldn’t be the least bit surprised to see Nokia throw down a netbook with a Symbian Foundation-made OS running on top sometime in the next year or two. We’ll just have to keep an ear to ...
