Nissan and AIST partner up to make foot-sized Segway shoes, enable first tracks all year
Engadget — ... are introducing this pair of two-wheeled, self-balancing devices. Lace up your fresh New Balance kicks, grab onto the handlebars, then hop on to go for a ride. Nissan's Idea Of A Personal Mobility Device Is A Pair Of Skis on Stilts [Personal Mobility]
Gizmodo — ... Automatic stilts make walking more complicated
DVICE Atom Feed — Nissan's new concept design for a personal mobility device sure is, well, interesting. It looks like a pair of roller skates connected to ski poles, and it supposedly lifts your feet and walks for you, like automated stilts. Sure it does. Is this supposed to be helpful for people who have trouble walking? This seems like it'd be tough to get on if you're perfectly healthy, let alone someone with disabilities.
