New Wii Controller Revealed
Edge Online - Interactive Entertainment Today — ... nothing has been confirmed beyond. Expect the unit attach to a Wii Remote much like the original Classic Controller, but any type of sixaxis-esque motion detection seems unlikely. What's more interesting is Nintendo's own purpose for releasing the controller; whether this upgrade means more 3D titles will come to the virtual console (perhaps beyond N64 games), and whether it means Nintendo is set to release moe traditional games for the Wii itself. Nintendo Classic Controller PRO for Wii announced

PRO measures 100.5 x 146 x 55mm, and looks a little like an inflated Sony DualShock controller.  It’s also apparently wired, though a Google translate of the Nintendo site says “Communications capabilities of the Wii Remote Controller”. No pricing or specific availability details are known for the new Wii Classic Controller PRO.  Nintendo only say it will arrive in the Summer of 2009, and give no word on whether it’ll make it outside of Japan. Wii ‘Classic Controller Pro’ bulks up, adds more buttons and gripaciousness
CrunchGear — ... to gravitate to the Classic Controller Pro when it comes out this summer. It appears to be a bit more substantial, with some added hand grips, more shoulder buttons, and a spacing-out of the analog thumb sticks. Pricing and exact availability are unknown but I bet it’ll run $25 to $30.
