This is great news for consumers looking to pick up a new phone for Christmas time, nothing beats a price cut around the festive period. Also, T-Mobile have stated that customers who purchased the phone on the old deal will receive some sort of compensation if they contact T-Mobile, so it is good news all round.

T-Mobile insists the price drop isn’t a result of poor sales of the G1, but industry sources reckon the £10.00 drop is T-Mobile’s attempt to “overcome fierce competition from other high-end devices.”
The word is though that if early G1 adopters get in touch with T-Mobile they will alter their price accordingly. Personally I say who cares what the reason, a price drop is always good for the customer.
