... system, but other than that there’s nothing new, no extra changed to this new android version.
The Neo FreeRunner still has the same 400MHz Samsung 2442 processor, 2.8 inch VGA display, still has GPRS and GSM connectivity, Bluetooth, aGPS, and WiFi along with everything it carried before.
So other than the Android change that’s it, no word on a release date or what price it will command, but you can view a few more blurry images if you hit up the source.

Openmoko FreeRunner Android in Blurry Spy-Shot Shocker
Wired: Gadget Lab —
... a 2.8" touch screen and memory expandable up to 16GB. There appears to be no camera, but everything else – music and video playback, for example – should be taken care of in software. Such is the beauty of the new wave of open (or open-ish, in the case of the iPhone) platforms which can be customized at your leisure.
Price and availability are still unknown, but the word on the street from our virtual Huggy Bear (aka Google) says soon. More (shaky) pictures below.

OpenMoko FreeRunner Runs Android
Android Phone Fans —
Everyone wants to know what device will be the next Android Phone. Whatever it is - it won’t be from a major manufacturer. Kogan is already accepting pre-orders for their Agora Pro device which will ship in January but ImAndroid.org has some new pictures of the OpenMoko Neo FreeRunner with Android and they say THAT will be the second Android Phone.
I’m sure the author meant well, but the FreeRunner as the 2nd Android Phone is still very questionable/debatable. Actually, some could say that ...

... by a GPRS-only data connection; that's late-90s tech, and for a data-heavy platform like Android, could be a monumental pain. Or maybe it will be the first Android phone with a battery that can last more than 12 hours without needing a reboost? Rounding out the specs is more typical smartphone fare: wi-fi, AGPS, Bluetooth, microSD slot, and a 400 MHz Samsung processor. Price and availability are not yet available, but I would reckon CES will shed a bit more light on things. [iMAndroid]
