Scientists Add Touch Capabilties to OLEDs
Phone Scoop - Latest News — ... organic light emitting diodes that can be controlled by touch. Right now, they envision being able to turn lights on and off via touch. Typical touch screens have to have additional touch foils on the top of the devices. This new technology from Fraunhofer doesn't need those foils, because the OLED itself is used to read out the touch signal.
