NFL iPhone App Not Happening, Says The NFL
Silicon Alley Insider —
... for $5 each, MLB made almost $500,000 after Apple's 30% cut. An impressive amount for a first shot at a new mobile platform. But not quite $50 million a year.
The NFL offers an ad-supported mobile Web site that iPhones can access, which includes scores, news, and photo galleries. And there's plenty of sports apps for the iPhone with football info. But nothing quite like MLB's iPhone app.
Meanwhile, MLB has released a free version of its app for the offseason. You can download it here.

The Web-based television outfit Joost [iTunes] is the latest to joint the fray. Naturally, we thought it’d be fitting to see what’s what in that part of the iPhone market as a whole. Here are ten ...

The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW) —
Filed under: Software, iPhone, App Store, iPod touchMy all-time favorite iPhone app, MLB's At Bat [App Store link], is all new for the 2009 baseball season. Late last year they added MLB Gameday for pitch-by-pitch updates, and the full '09 version (when it launches) will extend that with support for Gameday audio. You'll be able to listen to the home or away broadcast of any ...
