Motorola to layoff 400 more employees before year-end
Unwired View — ... 1,500 employees during the fourth quarter of 2008. With this change, the number is now up to 1,900, but the overall total number of layoffs will remain unchanged at 3,000. It appears the company had to do it earlier than expected to save $800 million in 2009. Motorola’s mobile devices segment will be the one taking the biggest damage from this round of layoffs.
