MSI officially announced the new Wind U115 Hybrid netbook that has been leaked previously. The MSI Wind U115 is powered by an Intel Atom Z530 1.6GHz processor, 1GB of memory and Intel Poulsbo US15W chipset.
The hybrid part of the Wind U115 is the storage. It has both 120GB/160GB hard drive and 8GB/16GB SSD. It has also a 4-in-1 card reader supporting SD, MMC, Memory Stick and xD cards.
MSI’s new hybrid netbook comes with also WiFi 802.11b/g/n, a 2 Megapixel webcam, a 10-inch 1024×600 LCD display, built-in speakers and optional Bluetooth.

MSI has officially introduced the new U115 “Hybrid Storage” netbook, a unique netbook which was first unveiled in Europe earlier this month. The company claims this will be the first notebook capable of using both an SSD and HDD simultaneously. Here are some more details on that MSI Wind U115 Hybrid that we discussed earlier this month. The big selling point is the SSD + HDD setup, which allows the device to operate using the solid state drive while writing files to the hard drive, resulting in much longer battery life (MSI previously claimed up to ten hours, but the official press release just says "super long" battery life.

MSI revealed the U115 Hybrid Netbook on Monday, which uses a solid-state disk jointly with a hard-disk drive for extra storage. The U115 Hybrid features an “ECO on” mode to temporarily shut off the hard drive for extending battery life, as solid-state drives are generally more power efficient.
