I know where I live the same thing is happening. About 1/2 of the stations are making the switch. What about where you live? Are they waiting until June or going ahead with the switch?

Watch out! Over 681 stations have decided to go ahead with the DTV transition despite the delay. Even though the Federal Communications Commission voted for a mandatory delay on the digital transition, it looks like quite a few local television stations are going to go ahead and make the switch anyway.

I've been flip in the past about my feelings about exactly why the digital transition delay is a bad idea, but it really does come down to this: 40% of analog signals shutting down on February 17th is a hell of a lot more confusing to people than 100% shutting down. Expect a lot or befuddled grannies shrieking in the aisles of Best Buy over the coming weeks.
