Nintendo reveals DSi LL with larger screen

... Wow, Nikkei hit a homerun with the DSi report. Nintendo has officially announced DSi LL with a larger screen. The DSi LL measures 161×91.4×21.2mm and sports a 4.2-inch display from 3.25-inch of DSi along with the same innards. The handheld will be bundled with a longer stylus (about 4mm longer) and three DSi games.
The DSi LL can be bought from November 21 in Japan for 20,000 Yen ($220) only if you wanted to play DS games on a bigger screen.

Nintendo have officially announced their latest handheld console, and like the rumors suggested it packs larger displays than the DSi. The Nintendo DSi LL will drop in Japan on November 21st, complete with twin 4.2-inch displays (compared to the DSi’s two 3.25-inch displays); as before, the lower panel is a touchscreen.
The size of the DSi LL is obviously greater, with the new dimensions being 161 x 91.4 x 21.2 mm (compared to the DSi’s 137 x 74.9 x 18.9 mm) and it weighs in at 314g (the DSi is 214g). Battery ...

The bigger DSi will launch in Japan on November 21st and come with three built in games for the equivalent of $220. Europe will follow early next year and then the US, at an as yet unspecified date. Hopefully Nintendo will have bought some non-horrible colored plastic by then.

... of the pocket gamer has gone from 214g to 314g, which is about .7lbs for all you US fans. Outside of that everything seems to have remained the same. The Japanese version will be called the ‘LL’ and Europe ‘XL’.
The DSi LL will hit Japan on 11/21, no word on the US and the EU can expect it in the first quarter of 2010.
