... once you talk into the iPhone it will be transmitted to Google’s servers where it will then be recognized then entered as a search term.
The feature works very well indeed if you ask me, it does indeed recognize simple and single words for example “Mobile” or “Animal” etc, many have asked will it recognize complex phrases like “What is a mobile phone” and the answer to this question is “YES” yes it does recognize it.
