Other chips like Q9550 (2.83GHz), Q9400 (2.66GHz), Q8300 (2.50GHz) and Q8200 (2.33GHz) saw a decrease ranging from 20-16 percent. The cheapest Quad-core offering, Q8200 now stands at just $163.
Apart from that, Intel also dropped prices of Core 2 Duo, Pentium Dual core and Celeron Dual core chips.
