The next generation of Intel’s Classmate PC design looks a lot like the second generation in that the netbook has a rugged design, an 8.9 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU and runs Windows XP. Why it is ugly as sin is beyond my capacity to explain. The two-tone plastic and superfluous Michael Okuda-style bumps aren't doing it any favors. (I do like the handle, though.)
If Intel has access to these touchscreens, though, it stands to reason that Asus, MSI and company do, too. I wouldn't be surprised to see some touchscreen netbooks "for adults" at CES.

LaptopMag say that the device looks good with the blue in white lid and features a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, 1GB RAM, 60GB HDD, Windows XP Home, accelerometer and stylus.
Intel has also included Vision Objects Pen Input for converting handwriting into editable text and has a Quick Launcher sitting on top of the OS to suit the touchscreen interface. They are also in talks with McGraw Hill to provide educational tools.
