Its easy for him to say it better, when he knows all the tricks. But intuitive its not if you have to learn new tricks. It s always better to leave things the way they are with the opportunity to change them to the new better way one thing at a time. This way there is no learning curve you just play with the new functions when your good and ready. Now where is that Tech guru at MS who thinks of that? Now that's smart thinking.

The point he's missing is that people want to install the OS and start surfing the web installing programs and customizing the GUI. They don't want to go thru a ton of tutorials to learn whats been changed and how to relearn what they already knew. I'm supposed to instinctively know to go into search and type "hidden" to change my hidden folders view. Now there's some crap! First of all I will not know to do it from search, and if I did you seem to think I would go there and say to myself "Hmm! I want to change hidden files and folders, I know I'll type Hidden" NOT. thats just stupid! And your stupid! Your just an MS loving good for nothing suckup!

And Bott admits that, yes, XP die-hards are going to have to, um, think different : Yes, there's a learning curve. And if you insist on using those techniques you learned back in the last millennium with software that was designed differently, you will be frustrated. But I believe that an open-minded XP user ...
