Lenovo IdeaPad U450p 14-inch ultrathin teases with banner
SlashGear — Scant details of Lenovo’s upcoming IdeaPad, the U450p, have appeared on the company’s site.  While full specifications, pricing and release availability are unknown, the IdeaPad U450p is known to have a “nice” 14-inch display and Core 2 Duo ULV processor (most likely from Intel’s CULV range). There’s also an onboard optical drive and the same lid patterning as seen on other models in Lenovo’s consumer-oriented IdeaPad range.  It’s also likely to use Vista Home Premium. We’ll have to wait until Lenovo decide we’re worthy of more specifications before knowing more, however.  Considering the U450p is likely sitting above the U350, we’re expecting to see such niceties as an HDMI ...

Lenovo slips out IdeaPad U450p, won't let you order one
Engadget — Hey Lenovo, that's a pretty sweet landing page you've got there for this newfangled IdeaPad U450p. In fact, we're crushing pretty hard on that glossy 14-inch display, ultrathin frame and patterned lid. If you're really looking for candor, we'd even go so far as to say that the "energy-efficient ULV processor" and "integrated optical drive" has us all sorts of hot and bothered, but the inability to actually see a full build sheet or order a unit for ourselves is simply ...

Lenovo IdeaPad U450p notebook coming soon
PCLaunches.com — This one ain't official yet, but looks like Lenovo is planning to announce a new energy efficient notebook computer in the form of IdeaPad U450p. Like earlier announced IdeaPad laptops, the newest IdeaPad is a nicely designed notebook with thin frame. The 14" laptop is based on Intel's Consumer Ultra Low Voltage (CULV) processor, and boast of an integrated optical drive. Stay tuned for more! [Product Page, via Electronista]

Lenovo U450p 14" CULV Notebook Is Coming.
I4U News — ... If you've been looking to try out a CULV this Fall, you might not need to look any further than Lenovo's new IdeaPad line of CULV notebooks. So far the only model out is the U350, a 13.3” machine that comes with a variety of processor options and an integrated optical drive. If you're looking for something a little bigger though, Lenovo's just started to advertise their 14” U450p. We don't know anything other than size about the U450p, but there are a few things we can ...

Lenovo IdeaPad U450p on sale now: 14-inch CULV ultraportable

There’s also up to 320GB of 5,400rpm HDD storage, an integrated DVD burner, Intel X4500 graphics and a 1,366 x 768 AntiGlare display.  Connectivity includes a choice of WiFi b/g/n or b/g, ethernet, VGA, HDMI, three USB ports and audio in/out. The standard battery is a 6-cell pack, though we’re not sure what sort of runtime you could expect from that yet.  Shipping is expected to begin “in more than 4 weeks” so there’s ...

Lenovo caves, lets you order 14-inch IdeaPad U450p laptop
Engadget — Apparently the note sent in by the collective internet had its desired effect, as the machine we knew was sitting somewhere in a Lenovo R&D lab two weeks ago is now available to order. The IdeaPad U450p packs a 14-inch "anti-glare" display (1,366 x 768 resolution), your choice of Intel's 1.3GHz SU2700 or 1.4GHz SU3500 CPU, Windows Vista Home Premium, GMA X4500 integrated graphics, 3GB or 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a 250GB or 320GB 5400RPM hard drive, six-cell Li-ion battery, WiFi and a bundled DVD writer with Ultrabase. Current shipping estimates show that machines ordered today won't arrive until mid-September, but those with ample amounts of patience (and at least $799 in marked US bills) can get in line right now. Lenovo IdeaPad U450p — A 14″ CULV Notebook
jkOnTheRun — Netbooks may have stolen the show for small and light devices, but don’t count out thin notebooks running on Intel’s Consumer Ultra Low Voltage platform. Lenovo continues to  jump into this market with a new IdeaPad notebook  now available for pre-order. SlashGear caught the U450p model,  available with either the SU2700 (1.3GHz, 800MHz FSB) or SU3500 (1.4GHz, 800MHz FSB) CPU paired with the Intel Integrated Graphics X4500. This notebook appears to fit between a small, low powered netbook and a heavy but full-featured notebook, and weighs in at 4.62 pounds. It offers a 1366 x 768 resolution on the 14″ display. Given the screen size and starting price of $799, I think the dimensions are reasonable: 13.3″ x 9.3″ x 0.9 – ...
