A sudden unannounced disappearance of Hulu content from CBS-owned TV.com Tuesday has left viewers mystified and the media speculating as to the intentions and future plans of the two companies.
CNet is reporting that Hulu removed the videos which are still being promoted on TV.com, but it was very vague its reasons for doing so.
"Hulu has contractual rights with regards to our relationship with TV.com and we are exercising those rights. Out of respect for their confidentiality, we will not disclose our discussions," a Hulu spokesman told Wired.com.

If you’ve been a reader of this blog for any time, you know what a fan I am of Boxee and have written more than a few pieces about how Hulu (and the ad-supported streaming model as a whole) has been doomed from the start.

While apologizing to Boxee users, Hulu chief executive Jason Kilar said the company had no choice but to turn off the video spigot later this week. Disney Joins Hulu Partnership, Adds ABC Content to Site

Watch out, CBS. Disney content is coming to Hulu. The Walt Disney Company announced Thursday that it will become a joint venture partner and equity owner of video Web site Hulu.com, currently a joint venture between NBC Universal and News Corp.
The move means that Hulu.com will add content from ABC's primetime lineup, as well as cable channels like ABC Family, SOAPNet, and The Disney Channel. Disney will also contribute selections from Walt Disney Studios and original, short-form content.
