HP Mini 1000 now available with mobile broadband
Liliputing —
HP is now offering US customers the option of adding an internal mobile broadband modem to their HP Mini 1000 orders. The modem will work with AT&T or Verizon’s wireless broadband networks. But it costs $199, which is significantly more expensive than the broadband $125 AT&T broadband modem Dell offers for the Inspiron Mini 9, especially when you realize that AT&T will reimburse you for $120 of the purchase price when you sign up for a service plan. There’s no indication on HP’s site that AT&T or Verizon are subsidizing the cost of the modem.
You also need to configure your HP Mini 1000 to have the 60GB hard drive ...
HP Mini 1000 Vivienne Tam Edition now shipping
Liliputing —
Thinking about picking up an HP Mini 1000 netbook, but worried that the $399.99 starting price isn’t enough? For an extra $300 you can get the designer Vivienne Tam edition of the netbook which was first unveiled (sort of) back in October. It’s now available for order from HP’s web store.
Aside from the fancy red color and artistic case design, the special edition HP Mini 1000 is a lot like the regular edition HP Mini 1000. It has a 10.2 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU, and 1GB of RAM. This particular model comes with a 16GB solid state disk which you can upgrade to a 60GB hard drive for an extra $25. If you want ...

For $359 you can now pick up the mini-laptop with a 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU, 8.9 inch 1024 x 600 pixel display, 512MB of RAM, and an 8GB solid state disk. If you want a larger screen, more RAM, or additional storage capacity you can pay extra for thos features.
I’ve been playing with an HP Mini 1000 for the last few days, and it’s a nice little netbook. It’s significantly smaller and lighter than the Asus Eee PC 1000H I’ve been carrying around for the last few months. But the battery doesn’t last as long and while the keyboard is excellent by netbook standards, I find ...
HP Mini 1000 3G option does use Qualcomm Gobi
jkOnTheRun —
Have you been wondering why HP offers three different 3G options for the HP Mini 1000 netbook, when there are only two compatible 3G plans in the U.S.? I was wondering the same when I saw that you could add integrated 3G to your HP netbook for $199. HP's press folks responded to my inquiry on the topic and sure enough, they confirmed that the third option indeed uses a Qualcomm Gobi chipset. That's the chip that supports both currently available wireless broadband technologies: EV-DO and HSDPA.
If you have carrier commitment issues, this might make for the best option because it gives you the hardware flexibility to use either Verizon Wireless or AT&T for ...

Liliputing —
HP is now taking orders for its new Mini 110 netbook and updated Pavilion dv2 laptop. The company also appears to have pulled the HP Mini 1000 from its web store, with the exception of the $699.99 HP Mini 1000 Vivienne Tam Edition.
The Mini 110 comes with either Linux or Windows XP, and has a starting price of $279.99 ...
HP replaces Mini 1000 with Mini 110
CrunchGear —
HP has replaced its Mini 1000 series of netbooks with the Mini 110 series. Not a whole lot has changed, except that you’ll be able to customize things a bit more.
The Linux version starts at $279 and can be upgraded from an Intel N270 Atom CPU to the slightly-faster N280 CPU and the RAM can be bumped from 1GB to 2GB. The XP version starts at $329 and features the same CPU upgrade option, although the RAM is stuck at 1GB thanks to Microsoft’s weird netbook rules.
Hard drive upgrades are also available for both versions. Both machines feature a 10.1-inch screen at 1024×576 resolution. No word on whether or not HP will offer a high-res screen in the future. ...
HP Mini 110 XP Edition now available in pink and white
SlashGear —
If you’ve been holding off on picking up one of HP’s Mini 110 series netbooks because you’ve wanted it in pink or white (what, really?) then today is the day to flex your credit-card. HP have unleashed the two new color versions of their 110 XP Edition, meaning you can have the 10.1-inch Atom N270/N280 netbook in sober black, coquettish pink or lost-in-a-snowstorm white.
They’re our names, I should point out, not HP’s official nomenclature, so expect to be laughed at if you ring up to place your order and use them. Picking the non-standard color schemes pushes the price of the 110-series machines up by $20 each; they’re only available ...
HP Mini 110 netbook goes pink and white, adds Broadcom's HD video acceleration
Engadget —
It's July 8th which means the white swirl and pink chic editions of HP's Mini 110 netbooks are available. Unfortunately, the addition of color over the base-black models will cost you an extra $20. More importantly, this commonly speced netbook with choice of Atom N270 or N280 processors and integrated GMA 950 graphics is also getting an HD video boost thanks to a $30 option for ...
