In the meantime, you can probably take out your frustation with this crazy Gene Simmons axe-shaped guitar controller that's due out on Halloween -- we're not sure if we'd pay $80 for the privilege of pretending to be in KISS while playing a video game, but if you're in the Army, Amazon is taking preorders now. Sony PS3 Guitar Hero: World Tour drums and Rock Band 2
PR News: — ... the redundant guitars issue because Activision and Harmonix do not work well together was not enough, now gamers will have to have two drum kits. The sad fact of the matter is the Xbox 360 does not have this kind of trouble. This must mean that it is just a bug, and that Harmonix should be able to fix it with a patch. Source

Gizmodo — ... keep you posted on updates as soon as more info is available." It's hard to believe that this lack of compatibility was anything but intentional on Activision's part since they've had access to Rock Band 2 for months...which is a particularly large problem since many gamers are plopping down almost $200 for the Guitar Hero World Tour software and instruments. Let's hope for some fancy software patches soon, though we're not holding our breath. [Kotaku and Joystiq] ...
