BitGravity is launching a digital video service today that allows its customers to stream high-definition videos over the Internet.
The BG Live service can stream live events in 1080p or 720p resolution (the same quality as high-end TV sets), according to the company’s announcement at DEMO 2009 today.

The opening panel at Demo 09 was entitled "doing more with less." This year's show is notably smaller than the show in past year, with 39 companies instead of the 60 last year, and 500 attendees, down from 700. But executive producer show host Chris Shipley said she looked at the "glass half full," as this year most of the companies had actual business models, rather than just trying to get users and figure out the business model later.
