AT&T chops prices of BlackBerry Bold and Curve 8900 to $199.99 and $149.99
Boy Genius Report — Good news for those of you who are in dire need of a new smartphone but would prefer to stick to models that have been given the “all clear” in consumer reviews instead of grabbing the hottest new toys. Just like we told you in our scoop back in early May, AT&T has just slashed the 2-year contract price of the BlackBerry Bold to $199.99. What’s more, the Curve 8900 has been cut to $149.99 — the price it was originally going to launch at according to our sources. Previously $299.99 and $199.99 respectively, the Bold shed off a third of its price tag while the newest-kid-on-the-block (to AT&T, anyway) is now ripe for the picking. So what’s it gonna be, people? The brawny Bold or the svelte Curve 8900? ...

RIMarkable — We heard a rumor a week and a half ago that AT&T was going to cut the price of the BlackBerry Bold.  It would appear, however, that AT&T  not only cut the price of the Bold down to $199 after a $100 mail-in rebate.  The price of the BlackBerry Curve 8900 has also been reduced, now only $149.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate. This probably won’t make all those folks who bought a Curve 8900 over the passed two weeks all that happy… [Source] If you really want to get a good deal on a BlackBerry Curve 8900, bot Amazon and Newegg are offering them for $49.99…

Gadgetell — Section: Communications, Cellphones, Cellular Providers, Smartphones, Mobile AT&T has just recently lowered the pricing on two of the top notch BlackBerry handsets.  Effective immediately, the BlackBerry Bold is now retailing for $199.99 and the newly available BlackBerry Curve 8900 is down to $149.99.  Just to offer a little comparison, the Bold is down from $299.99 and the Curve 8900 is down from $199.99. Of course, in order to get either of these prices you need to be willing to sign a two-year agreement.  Additionally, these prices are both coming after a $100 mail-in-rebate, which means that at the time of purchase you are going to have to shell out $299.99 and $249.99 for the Bold and Curve ...
