Sony announces another notebook battery recall
Krunker — ... approximately 35,000 notebook battery packs in the U.S. and an additional 65,000 units sold worldwide. The recall involves notebook systems sold by several PC manufacturers using Sony 2.15Ah lithium ion cell batteries.  40 incidents have been reported worldwide involving overheating of these batteries – some of which included smoke and/or flames.
