HTC Sapphire, T-Mobile’s G2, spotted in the wild
Android Authority —
The guys over at Gizmodo have scored what appear to be the first live pics of the yet-to-be-announced HTC Sapphire, the device that is likely to be sold as the T-Mobile G2. The Sapphire is slimmer than the Dream/G1 due largely to the lack of a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Otherwise, the devices look somewhat similar, except that the Sapphire’s “chin” is a bit curvier than the one found on the T-Mobile G1. We’ve only got two pics at this point, and they are a little blurry, but you can still get a reasonable idea as to what the G2 will look like. Oh yeah, Gizmodo’s source said ...

Want To See What The Next Android Phone From HTC May Look Like?
InformationWeek - All Stories And Blogs —
... all in a lather about who's going to get one to market first. With barely a rumor to sate our thirst for Android exclusives, CES was a bitter disappointment. No new phones were announced during the biggest gadget trade show in North America. Now, however, we have some juicy spy shots to look at. The images show a phone -- the G2? -- that looks very similar to the HTC G1, but has major differences. First and foremost, the slide-out QWERTY keyboard is gone. As a result, the phone is much thinner than the G1, which is definitely a good thing. It keeps the track ball below the ...
Android G2 spy shots - where is the rest of it?
Gadgetell —
... a big gorgeous screen. HTC still manages to make this phone look old, much like the G1, but that’s just my opinion. With current lackluster sales and the buzz on Android not moving the needle, Google, HTC, and T-Mobile are going to have to work some marketing magic here.
Word is we’ll see this new variation in the not too distant future as Gizmodo says it will be stateside in the spring. We’ll know soon enough if this true.

New Android G2 Photos surfaced?
I4U News —
... since last October. Gizmodo has two blurry photos published that show a slim Android Phone that has no keyboard made by HTC. It features a 3.2MP camera and looks totally boring. Unless the G2 features at least the cool screen from the Touch HD with 800x480px this phone would be a step down from the current G1. Android needs to get its act together very quickly and start looking at what Palm has done with their ...
Android G2 to be the HTC Sapphire? Looks That Way!
IntoMobile - Cell Phone News, Information, and Analysis —
... Android G2 from HTC arriving in May of this year.
Looks to be a solid step forward in comparison to the 1st gen G-Phone… But as per usual I’d rather wait to get the device in my own hands… at which time I’ll come down with judgement Some more good news… If the device is full touchscreen, I guess we’ll have the much anticipated/needed ‘Cupcake’ update, by at least… May!?

Gadget Leak: HTC Android G2

The HTC-built Android G2 phone has been leaked on the web. It looks to be thinner due to the lack of a fold-out keyboard, replaced, I’m assuming, by a virtual on-screen touch keyboard. As shown by the pic, it’ll sport a 3.2 megapixel camera, rounded corners, and a similar G1 interface.
