Techradar - All the latest technology news —
A recent survey of British males indicates that we increasingly use computers rather than our TVs as our main source of news and information but only 15 per cent of them are Twitterers. 75 per cent of the 5,000 British blokes in the Askmen.com survey admitted to using their PC or Mac as their main portal for information and entertainment, compared with a paltry 18 per cent now using the television. Also surprising is the finding that a whopping 85 per cent of those 5000 Brits surveyed still do not use Twitter, yet at the same time 41 per cent of them would still like to see Stephen Fry as the next Prime Minister. Chuckles all round, until I clicked one of the B3ta links to an apparently hilarious site, which loaded normally at first, but then appeared to kick Adobe Reader into action. A few seconds later I found that my browser was completely unresponsive. Strange. Not that strange, though. I use Mozilla SeaMonkey as my main browser at home out of sheer dogged contrariness and I'm used to it occasionally going into a ...

Facebook lets you change your username... again
Techradar - All the latest technology news —
Facebook has relented and let users change the username they were supposedly lumbered with after a recent option for vanity URLs. Users foolishly chose random handles of lots of random letters and then promptly kept forgetting how to type it in again, or just simply chose stupid names and instantly regretted it. However, Facebook has allowed one more change of the username, despite stating the first time that this wouldn't be allowed. Vanity all over again This option hasn't been made public, hinting that Facebook doesn't want the world to know its vanity URL plan didn't go quite according to plan.
